Abstract

The most crucial step in reducing the environmental effects of industrial emissions is CO2 capturing, or, carbon capture. This paper reviews recent innovations and advances in CO₂ capture materials, such as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), zeolites, and modified polymers. These CO2 capture materials focus on the solutions that enhance adsorption capacity and its selectivity across many industrial applications. Also, new technologies, such as, phase-change materials and ionic liquids address an energy-efficiency and scalability challenges by customizable features and new design approaches. This Integrated CO₂ capture and conversion (ICCC) is an innovative approach which readily converts emissions into useful products like fuels, chemicals etc., and enhances sustainable economic perceptions.Despite hurdles like higher costs, energy-intensive regeneration methods and scaling limitations, these innovative materials favors policy frameworks and financial incentives which makes them progress in this field. These integrating CO₂ collection devices along with renewable energy systems encourages sustainable industrial practices and also aligns with global intentions for a net-zero carbon future.
