Issues and objectives of professional and personal training for foreign language teachers in light of contemporary trends
Abstract
The aim of this research is to identify the complex issues concerning the professional and personal training of contemporary teachers. The paper theoretically substantiates the origins and challenges of the moral development of young professionals. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that, based on theoretical and empirical research methods, it identifies the problems faced by students of pedagogical universities and the deficiencies in their spiritual and moral development. The conducted research established that the problems of contemporary teachers are largely linked to policies that promoted liberal Western values for several decades. This provides grounds for redefining the objectives of professional-personal and methodological teacher training.
