Abstract

The research aims to identify the factors influencing the functioning of the social component of the digital educational environment (DEE) in supplementary education for schoolchildren. In accordance with this objective, a field of strategic initiatives was developed using SWOT analysis based on the set of resources that form the social component of the DEE at the “Small Mathematical Faculty”, a supplementary education organization for schoolchildren at Kuban State University. The scientific novelty of the study lies in developing a set of pedagogical conditions based on the established field of strategic initiatives and aimed at ensuring the effective functioning of the social component of the DEE. As a result of the study, the consideration of the DEE as an organizational and resource base for strategic initiatives (derived from the SWOT analysis) revealed the necessity of: using digital technologies that ensure safety and comfort; organizing interaction between all participants of the educational process while considering the impact of the DEE on students’ personal and creative self-realization and the development of their communicative culture; and accounting for the specifics of the “child-adult community”, including the characteristics of Generations Alpha and Z. These findings served as the basis for formulating a set of pedagogical conditions for the effective functioning of the social component of the digital educational environment.
