Scattering and frequency properties of a metasurface with triangular spiral resonators combined with thin conducting films
Abstract
The paper presents the results of a study of a combined coating consisting of a metasurface with triangular spiral elements and an ultra-thin conductive film with absorbing properties. Scattering diagrams of incident electromagnetic waves from the studied structure were obtained using a quasimonostatic measurement method. It is shown that the metasurface has attenuating properties at a normal angle of incidence over a wide range with a maximum at the resonance frequency, but when the wave is incident at angles of 21° and 50°, the reflected power level exceeds the reflection from a mirror. The use of an additional thin-film layer significantly reduces the level of reflected wave at any angle of incidence.
