Penerapan Project Management Pada Proyek Sistem Penjualan Motor Berbasis Geografik
Abstract
To increase motorcycle market share in Indonesia, Honda Sales Operation and its distributors require effective sales monitoring via a Geographic Information System (GIS).Since the system development was outsourced, a structured project management framework was essential to ensure effective collaboration.This study evaluates whether the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) framework supports successful system development, specifically regarding scope and communication management.The methodology involved applying standard PMBOK process groups and knowledge areas.Results indicate that the GIS development project was unsuccessful; this failure resulted from the incomplete implementation of project management standards as defined in the PMBOK framework.
