Abstract

The purpose of the research is to study the efficacy of the water emulsion "D-cyfenotrin Combo" against Psoroptes bovis (pathogens of bovine psoroptosis) in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. Materials and methods. The experiment was carried out on 60 heads of beef cattle of different ages (cows, heifers and calves) in April-May 2026 in a private subsidiary farm in the Prikubansky district of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. The active ingredients of the drug "D-cyfenotrin Combo" are D-cyfenotrin, pyriproxifen, piperonyl butoxide. An aqueous emulsion of the drug in a concentration of 0.005% was applied to cattle once individually by fine-drip spraying using an electric knapsack sprayer. Laboratory tests for psoroptosis were carried out according to the "Guidelines for laboratory tests for sarcoptoidosis of animals". Microscopic studies were performed in the laboratory of ectoparasitosis of the VNIIP – FSC VIEV. Results and discussion. P. bovis were detected in 20% of cattle. The number of P. bovis mites in skin scrapings from three affected areas of the body ranged from 10 to 50 specimens., which indicates a mild to moderate intensity of psoroptosis in cattle. The efficacy of the drug "D-cyfenotrin Combo" in the form of an aqueous emulsion against psoroptosis in cattle of different ages was 100%.
