Abstract

The influence of various fillers (kaolin, diatomite NDP-D-400, diatomite NDP-230, natural chalk, microquartz) on the vulcanization characteristics of the rubber compound, physico-mechanical and operational properties of rubber based on a combination of ethylene-propylene-diene S 505A and nitrile-butadiene SKN 2645 rubbers was studied. It is shown that rubber containing kaolin in an amount of 20.0 parts by mass per 100.0 parts by mass of rubbers is characterized by stable physico-mechanical parameters and the smallest changes in elastic-strength properties, is resistant to the action of a hydrocarbon medium and can be recommended for manufacturing sealing parts used in the automotive industry.
