O municipalismo libertário e a revolução em Rojava

The research aims to present the Rojava Revolution, its organization and itsideological-political structure, inspired by the Libertarian Municipalism theory. In orderto achieve this goal, the article reviews the Kurdish people’s history, their struggle forautonomy and the role of Parti Karkerani Kurdistan (PKK) (Kurdistan Workers' Party)and its Syrian ally PartiyaYekîtiya Demokrat (PYD) (Democratic Union Party). Inaddition the paper presents the main concepts of Murray Bookchin's theory, LibertarianMunicipalism and how it has been deployed in Rojava.
