Abstract

Undoubtedly, artificial intelligence has become a decisive factor in enhancing security and addressing security threats. It has become an indispensable tool in the face of growing security challenges facing countries, as well as the rapid development of digital technologies and the increasing volume of data. With the rise of these threats, countries are increasingly adopting strategies that rely on AI technologies to enhance their defensive and security capabilities. The expansion of AI technologies reflects the ambition of states and their security agencies to develop smart tools capable of predicting and effectively responding to security threats. As for the future of artificial intelligence in addressing security threats, it may unfold in two divergent directions. On one hand, this field is likely to witness rapid development, thereby enhancing the state's ability to predict and respond to security threats more effectively, especially with increasing investments and research in AI. On the other hand, this progress may face legal, ethical, and technical barriers that could limit the spread and evolution of these technologies, potentially leading to a decline in their importance in safeguarding security and addressing threats, particularly if the challenges associated with them are not addressed in a precise and balanced manner.
