The purpose of the article: to consider the impact of hiking tourism on human psychophysical health. Research methods: analysis of scientific and methodological literature; study and generalization of leading pedagogical experience; pedagogical observations. Results. Hiking tourism is widespread almost throughout the territory of Ukraine. Thanks to the intensification of hiking tourism, a number of changes are taking place on a global scale, as the economy is developing, future generations are instilled with a good attitude towards sports, the immunity of able-bodied citizens is strengthened and citizens with disabilities are rehabilitated, and communicative ties between states are strengthened. Hiking tourism, as a physical activity, benefits human health and well-being. These processes include cognitive activity, the improvement of which occurs due to the saturation of brain cells with oxygen, as well as a result of the elimination of a serious load on the brain during walking. The quality of sleep also increases due to the fact that regular walks allow people not to experience problems associated with insomnia, since the body tired during the day needs recovery. Conclusions. Hiking is not only prevention, but also has a powerful health-improving effect. That is why you need to allocate time for active tourism to improve your health, physical fitness and mental state.
