Abstract
This article discusses the issues of Modern general theoretical knowledge and extensive practical experience in managing the training process in the field of sports allow us to critically approach the assessment of wrestlers’ training, trace positive aspects, identify reserve opportunities and ways to further improve the training process and competitive activities. Improving the problem of management in wrestling should be carried out in accordance with the requirements of a system-structural approach. The content of competitive activities in wrestling should be considered as a system-forming factor, and a number of components of the special preparedness of wrestlers - as the main subsystems of the structure. In this case, managing the training of athletes and competition activities becomes possible on the basis of objective quantitative information received as a result of complex control, the technology of which is quite objectively described in many works. It can be assumed that further improvement of the theory and methodology of complex control in wrestling will allow organizing the process of training wrestlers in accordance with the requirements of management, which have already been implemented in related sports. Specific features of wrestling put forward a number of requirements for the organization and content of control in this sport, which is characterized by high variability of wrestlers’ behavior. The main one is a comprehensive approach to assessing the state of special preparedness of wrestlers. The experience of organizing control in wrestling shows that the use of individual indicators is ineffective due to the fact that in the conditions of combat activity there is a wide opportunity to compensate for individual weaknesses in preparedness through the rational use of other more developed components of motor skills in athletes.
