Abstract

The article presents the results of the organizational and managerial. A detailed analysis of the functioning of orienteering under martial law for the period 2022-2024 is presented. A general trend has been identified, demonstrating a significant decrease in indicators in 2022, which is a direct consequence of the full-scale invasion. This affected all aspects: the number of people engaged in orienteering decreased by 36%; the number of coaching staff decreased by 18%. Positive growth dynamics have been noted, which proves the effectiveness of measures aimed at preserving and restoring sports activities in conditions of military conflict. A tendency towards significant fluctuations in the number of coaching staff has been recorded: after a significant decline in 2022, the number of employees, especially full-time coaching staff, in 2024 not only returned to the pre-war level, but also exceeded it. The organizational and managerial aspects of the functioning of sports orienteering are determined, namely the organization and holding of competitions, which are a system-forming factor of this sport, as well as the methodological and personnel support of the training process and its management.
