Abstract

The article substantiates the transformation of the role of the "Psychological Practicum" as a strategic tool for forming the professional resilience of future psychologists in the conditions of chronic extreme martial law in Ukraine. The effectiveness of training future psychologists to work in extreme conditions is determined by the level of integration of the theoretical base into the practical plane. The psychological practicum plays the role of an integrative hub, where, through direct experience and modeling of crisis scenarios, the student's readiness to work with trauma and loss is formed. Unlike lecture courses, the practicum focuses on the operational side of the profession. Students master specific tools: diagnostic methods (not just knowing the names of tests, but the ability to conduct them, process the results and, most importantly, interpret them in the context of the request); observation and interview techniques (developing the ability to notice non-verbal signals, hold a therapeutic pause and ask open-ended questions). A comparative analysis of domestic and foreign training models (APA, EFPA) was carried out, which revealed that the Western tradition is based on strict protocolization and automation of microskills, which is critically important for preserving the cognitive resource of a specialist. The results of the empirical study revealed a demand for clear algorithms for psychological first aid and protocols for working with trauma. The problem of “facade reporting” is identified, where real clinical experience is replaced by formalized reports and AI presentations, which increases the fear of incompetence. Proposed to integrate the BASIC Ph resilience model, self-regulation techniques (muscle relaxation, grounding) and work with simulated crisis scenarios into the practicum. It is proven that reforming the discipline should shift the emphasis from assessing form to developing the student’s resilience and ethical ability to act in conditions of uncertainty.
