Design of Functional Textile Fiber Materials for High-Performance Sportswear and Their Impact on Football Training Outcomes
Abstract
The functionality of textile materials in high-performance sportswear significantly influences thermoregulation and muscle support during football training. This study presents a design approach focused on fiber microstructure and fabric integration to meet the combined demands of breathability, quick-drying, elasticity, and durability. Composite spinning and microstructural control techniques produced multi-interface, microporous fibers, applied in weft-knitted and layered fabrics. Testing achieved a moisture-vapor transmission rate of 11,320 g/(m²·24 h), a diffusion radius of 4.2 cm, an elastic recovery of 95.6%, and a low coefficient of friction (COF) of 0.37. The results from the training scenarios indicated improved regulation of the skin microclimate, reduced fatigue, and enhanced comfort. These results support the contribution of functional fibers in optimizing sportswear performance.
