Abstract

This study uses bibliometric analysis with VOSviewer, drawing data from Dimensions.AI, a platform for academic research. It examines the trend of research on solving problems and science projects in secondary education from 2020 to 2024. The analysis reveals growing trends in project-based learning (PBL), emphasizing its role in improving student engagement and problem-solving skills. Research output has notably increased, especially in China, which leads in publications and citations. Key contributors, such as Alexandra Lilavati Pereira Okada and Achmad Samsudin, have advanced practical, interactive learning applications. Leading journals like Computers & Education highlight the importance of interdisciplinary approaches, focusing on themes like Knowledge, Technology, and STEM. The study suggests further exploration into technology, STEM integration, and project design to improve the effectiveness of science projects in education, encouraging innovative practices to enhance student outcomes.
