Visual Narrative and Audience Participation Mechanism Based on Human Computer Interaction Driven by AI
Abstract
Using visual tools to communicate with the audience is a typical form of human-computer interaction. In the context of deep embedding of artificial intelligence into digital platforms, the mode of film and television dissemination as well as the audience are undergoing profound changes. This research takes short video platforms such as Tiktok, Bilibili and TikTok as research fields, focusing on the visual re narrative phenomenon driven by AI in film and television. It explores how AI technologies intervene in the reconstruction of visual content and how audiences, through participatory practices, shift their identities from “viewers” to “co-creators.” Based on representative cases, it summarizes the templated tendencies of visual narrative structures, the structural regulation imposed by platform mechanisms on content production, and the symbolic co-creation features of audience participation. The findings reveal that AI not only enhances the efficiency of re-creation but also subtly reshapes the rhythm, style, and expressive boundaries of film and television communication, thereby fostering the formation of platform-dominated participatory culture.
