Abstract

This study proposes a novel framework for integrating tattoo-based microelectronic systems as a platform for behaviorally adaptive, skin-level artificial intelligence (AI) interfaces. Unlike conventional wearable devices, which are external and often lack personalization, this model leverages flexible electronics, low-power wireless communication (e.g., Bluetooth Low Energy), and transformer-based AI architectures to enable real-time biometric sensing and contextual adaptation. The core contribution is a modular system where on-skin electronics act as both input and communication layers for an AI assistant that learns from the user’s physiological signals, behavioral patterns, and decision-making routines. This embedded AI evolves over time, offering personalized, context-aware assistance directly at the skin level. The paper addresses technical requirements, including data privacy, low-latency processing, and interoperability, alongside ethical considerations of persistent AI integration with the human body. Grounded in current advancements in embedded computing and human-machine interaction, this work provides a practical roadmap for prototyping and early experimentation with skin-integrated AI systems.
