Empirical Analysis of the Impact of Teachers’ Ethics and Culture on Learning Atmosphere Based on Survey Data from Nanning University
Abstract
The quality of higher education hings on the interaction between teachers’ ethics and culture and students’ learning atmosphere. Based on 250 faculty surveys from Nanning University, this study examines the influence of teachers’ ethics and culture on students’ learning atmosphere. Results show a significant positive correlation between the two, with student-centered teaching exhibiting stronger predictive effects than instructional support systems. Teachers over 50 years old provided the most positive evaluations of teachers’ ethics and culture, and teaching departments scored higher than administrative and auxiliary units. The study confirms that instructional behaviors are key factors influencing the learning atmosphere, while support conditions operate through indirect pathways. It is recommended that institutions prioritize student-centered reforms, enhance administrative support, and promote synergy between teaching practices and the learning atmosphere. This study offers empirical evidence for application-oriented universities and suggests future research use expanded samples and longitudinal designs.
