Project Based Teaching and Empirical Analysis of High School Basketball Curriculum Based on Constructivist Theory
Abstract
The healthy growth of students is the responsibility and obligation of educators. This article is based on the theory of construction and uses project-based teaching as a method. Taking the basketball curriculum teaching of Duyun No.1 Middle School in Guangxi’s ethnic minority areas as an example, it explores the project-based teaching of high school basketball curriculum and verifies the effectiveness of this teaching reform through practical cases. The core viewpoint of constructivist theory is that learners construct knowledge and meaning based on their accumulated experiences, formed mental structures, and beliefs. Project based teaching is a teaching method primarily organized in the form of projects. By involving students in specific project activities, it enhances their initiative, enthusiasm, creativity, and practical abilities, promoting the comprehensive development of knowledge, skills, and emotions. The results of theoretical research and empirical analysis demonstrate that project-based teaching guided by constructivist thinking has a positive impact on improving students’ physical and mental health, motor skills, and sports ethics.
