Abstract

This paper addresses the challenges faced by Introduction to Logistics Engineering course amid the accelerated intelligent transformation of the global logistics industry. It explores blended course design and teaching innovation pathways based on digital intelligence technologies (including IoT, AI, and big data). Guided by the core principles of “technology empowerment, virtual-physical integration, and competency progression,” the study systematically constructs a deeply integrated hybrid teaching model. Through experimental research at Wuhan Technology and Business University (with an experimental group adopting this model and a control group using traditional methods), based on the Introduction to Logistics Engineering course and incorporating questionnaire surveys and data analysis, results indicate: Experimental group students demonstrated significant improvements in learning strategy application and learning outcome transfer, validating the model’s effectiveness in enhancing students’ deep learning motivation, engagement, and problem-solving abilities. This research provides a systematic framework for reforming logistics engineering education in the digital era, contributing to the cultivation of high-caliber talent capable of meeting the industry’s intelligent demands.
