Research on Human-Centered Architectural Space Design Based on BIM and Digital Twins
Abstract
This study develops an integrated framework combining Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Digital Twin (DT) technologies to advance architectural space design through semantic enrichment, real-time IoT data fusion, and parallel multi-agent simulation. Trajectory clustering algorithms use dynamic modeling of human movement patterns to process the data occupied by heterogeneous IoT. Therefore, the meaning of the BIM model is enhanced because it is able to capture complex spatial relationships. Multi-agent simulation systems mimic occupant behavior and operational flows in complex building environments to iteratively optimize spatial layouts. The framework connects virtual models with the real world thru a data-driven continuous feedback mechanism, which helps manage architectural space more efficiently and flexibly. This method provides an effective computational approach to making design decisions for complex built environments.
