Delay-Weighted Option Modeling and AI-Driven Trend Classification for Forecast Optimization
Abstract
In unstable environments, anticipating trend shifts and optimizing responses before failure is a critical advantage. Traditional forecasting models often ignore the role of delay, reversibility, and the time-sensitive value of alternative strategic choices. This paper presents a new AI-driven forecasting framework based on delay-weighted option modeling, autonomous trend classification, and dynamic model switching. The system is structured around a strategic reflex layer that not only forecasts outcomes, but evaluates whether to act, delay, or switch direction in real time. It introduces the Brutman Flexibility Index (BFI), which quantifies timing, reversibility, and strategic fragility across decision paths. Applications range from enterprise planning and IT scaling to economic policy design. The architecture integrates option theory, statistical signal classification, and internal arbitration of decision paths — shifting forecasting from reactive projection to proactive control.
