Abstract

Conflict and post-conflict contexts create significant challenges to mental health and well-being as individuals and communities grapple with the impacts of violence, displacement, and loss. Conflict often leads to widespread psychological trauma, and a wide range of mental health syndromes. In recent years there has been a growing body of evidence showing the task-sharing interventions, mental health and psychosocial strategies delivered by non-specialists in a community, can be effectively trained to deliver care. Even more recently, efforts are showing that these task-sharing interventions can be further scaled by leveraging digital tools. This chapter illustrates several examples of the ways in which task-sharing interventions have been adapted to integrate digital technologies. Furthermore, this chapter considers how digital task-sharing interventions can aid in empowerment and important rebuilding processes needed to foster peace in post-conflict settings.
