Review of: "The Politics of Literary Play: The Luddite in Ludism"
Abstract
Review of "Accelerated Development, Ludism, and the Machines of Ideology: Slovenian Modernism in the World-System" This article offers a compelling and original analysis of Slovenian modernism, situating it within global theoretical debates on peripherality, decolonization, and ideological critique. Its central strength lies in its innovative comparative framework, which productively connects three distinct phenomena: the "accelerated development" (Georgi Gachev) of Slovenian culture, the neo-avant-garde literary movement of Ludism (1968), and the historical Luddite machine-breaking movement (xix).
