Abstract

A series of substituted pyrazolyl benzoxazoles (5a-f) was prepared using 3-formylchromones as precursors by cyclization of corresponding oximes. The structures of all the intermediates as well as pyrazolyl benzoxazoles were confirmed by analytical techniques like IR, PMR and mass spectrometry. All the synthesized compounds were screened for their α-amylase inhibitory, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. Some of the compounds showed moderate to weak activities.
