Research Progress of Atopic Dermatitis in Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine
Abstract
Atopic dermatitis (AD), also known as atopic eczema, is a chronic, relapsing, inflammatory skin disease. Its etiology is not yet fully understood, but it is believed to be associated with various external factors, including genetics, immune dysregulation, environmental influences, and skin barrier dysfunction. By reviewing the literature, this article summarizes the pathogenesis, triggering factors, and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment approaches, aiming to provide the latest research progress for the treatment of AD.
