Abstract

The paper presents an in-depth theoretical and practical analysis of financing mechanisms for business entities operating under conditions of restrictive monetary policy, which is treated as a key driver of changes in Ukraine's financial landscape. The author examines how the National Bank of Ukraine's policy rate directly affects the price of capital, highlighting the adverse consequences of the monetary transmission process that creates a significant gap between enterprises' demand for recovery funds and the limited availability of bank credit.Special emphasis is placed on the "crowdingout" of private investment and the intensification of financial constraints, which make it necessary to adopt adaptive models of capital management. The study outlines a shift from conventional funding structures toward diversified strategies built on the combination of internal financing and alternative financial instruments.Drawing on the evolution of academic approaches and statistical evidence from 2011-2025 and the first two months of 2026, the research demonstrates that in periods of high interest-rate volatility, priority should be given to optimizing capital structures by reducing debt
