Abstract

The article examines the specific features of analyzing the financial condition of enterprises operating under martial law and substantiates the necessity of adapting traditional approaches to financial analysis to conditions of heightened uncertainty, systemic risks, and prolonged economic instability caused by full-scale military aggression. It is emphasized that wartime fundamentally transforms the external environment of enterprises, intensifies financial threats, disrupts production and logistics chains, reduces effective demand, and limits access to financial resources, which significantly complicates the assessment and interpretation of financial indicators.Based on the analysis of key financial and economic indicators of Ukrainian enterprises for the period 2020-2024, the study identifies a sharp deterioration in financial performance in 2022, followed by gradual recovery trends in 2023-2024.These dynamics indicate the adaptive capacity of enterprises to wartime conditions, despite persistent structural imbalances, high dependence on borrowed capital, low liquidity levels, and limited financial resilience.Particular attention is paid to the analysis of liquidity, solvency, financial stability, profitability, and business activity indicators, as well as to changes in their economic interpretation under martial law.The article systematizes and generalizes the scientific approaches of Ukrainian researchers to the assessment of financial stability under wartime conditions and proposes an adaptive, practice-oriented framework for financial diagnostics. This framework includes regular monitoring of key financial indicators, the formation of financial reserves and liquidity buffers, flexible cash flow management, cost optimization, diversification of income sources and markets, restructuring of short-term liabilities, and access to external financing through state support programs and international initiatives. The practical significance of the research lies in the possibility of applying the proposed approaches in anti-crisis management, strategic financial planning, and the development of enterprise financial security systems under martial law.
