Abstract

The article presents a comprehensive theoretical study of enterprise business culture as an important strategic resource for development under conditions of globalization, digitalization, and increasing competitive pressure. The significance of business culture is emphasized as a factor in forming sustainable competitive advantages, enhancing management efficiency, stimulating innovation activity, and ensuring the long-term competitiveness of enterprises.Within the framework of the study, the content of the concept of "business culture" is уточнений based on a semantic analysis of the categories "culture" and "business," as well as a generalization of approaches proposed by domestic and foreign scholars.Particular attention is paid to the problem of terminological ambiguity existing in contemporary academic research, especially regarding the relationship between the concepts of "business culture," "organizational culture," "corporate culture," and "entrepreneurial culture."It is substantiated that organizational culture is the broadest concept, within which business culture is considered as the culture of organizations whose activities are aimed at generating profit, whereas entrepreneurial and corporate cultures represent its specific forms. The main factors shaping an enterprise's business culture are identified and systematized, including national and cultural characteristics, socio-economic conditions, the legal and institutional environment, industry specifics, organizational structure, leadership style, human capital, personnel policy, the level of digitalization, globalization processes, and social expectations. It is shown that the interaction of these factors determines the multidimensional nature of business culture and defines the specifics of its manifestation at the level of individual enterprises.Contemporary global trends in the development of business culture are analyzed, in particular the orientation toward sustainable development and the ESG approach, the growing influence of Millennials and Generation Z, the spread of work-life balance practices, digitalization and virtual business communication, as well as the development of innovation, creativity, inclusiveness, and corporate social responsibility. It is concluded that taking these trends into account is a necessary condition for forming an effective, ethical, and competitive business culture of enterprises in the modern global economic environment.
