Abstract
The article addresses the conceptualization and systematization of the notion of "media product quality" in the context of contemporary digital media markets. It highlights the increasing relevance of media quality as an object of scientific analysis and managerial influence, emphasizing the significant role media play in shaping societal, political, and economic processes, as well as individual and collective worldviews. The study examines the multifaceted nature of quality, combining philosophical, social, economic, technical, and managerial dimensions, and highlights the inadequacy of applying traditional product or service evaluation methods to media content.Drawing on a broad review of international and Ukrainian research, the article identifies key approaches to assessing media quality: content-oriented, audience-oriented, institutional-market, and executionquality perspectives. The study proposes a comprehensive framework that integrates philosophical, socio-economic, standardized, and process-result approaches to quality, defining media product quality as a dynamic set of properties and characteristics shaped through interaction with audience expectations, professional standards, and societal functions.Five key dimensions of media product quality are distinguished: content and structure, technical, audience-related, organizational-managerial, and social-value impact. The article argues that evaluating media quality requires balancing objective and subjective indicators, accounting for variability over time and across contexts, and aligning strategic media goals with audience expectations. This integrative understanding provides a foundation for systematic analysis, comparative evaluation, and practical application in media management, contributing to improved decisionmaking, sustainable business performance, and enhanced societal value of media products.By clarifying the concept and parameters of media product quality, the study addresses both theoretical gaps and practical challenges in contemporary media environments, offering insights for academics, media professionals, engaged in content production, dissemination, and regulation.
