Abstract

Background: Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) is a stress management technique, a non-pharmacological complementary medicine, and a form of mind-body therapy within complementary therapies. SEFT is a technique that combines the body's energy system (energy medicine) and spiritual healing through pressure on specific points on the body. Purpose: To determine the effects of Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) therapy on blood glucose, uric acid, and cholesterol levels in adults. Method: This was a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test and post-test control group design. Samples were collected using a purposive sampling technique. A total of 32 participants who met the inclusion criteria were divided into two groups: 16 participants in the intervention group and 16 participants in the control group. Analysis to determine the difference in median cholesterol levels before and after treatment in the intervention and control groups used the Wilcoxon test. Results: Statistical tests on blood glucose, uric acid, and cholesterol levels showed significant differences before and after the intervention with a p-value
