Abstract

The article reveals the meaning of social norms and their functional load as a factor of regulating individual behavior in digital space. It is indicated that in a situation of social chaos and loss of social ties by a person, moral norms retain the right of priority and perspective as the highest regulating factor of constructive social behavior of an individual, in particular in digital space. Social-autonomous norms act as the highest regulating factor of social behavior of an individual in digital space. The isolation of the conditional hierarchy of social norms makes it possible to consider moral norms, which occupy the highest level of this hierarchy, as an individual system of intra-individual values, which act as internalized standards and influence the social behavior of an individual in the digital space. Actually, socially autonomous norms, namely moral norms, contain exclusively the general principle of the direction of the behavior of an individual, and their implementation depends, first of all, on its personal values. They focus on the voluntary application of moral principles as internal incentives to perform certain social actions or, conversely, refrain from them. Key words: personality, social behavior, social norm, socially autonomous norms, socially heteronomous norms, moral norms, digital space.
