Abstract

The article analyzes the features of the educational activities of medical students in the context of the relationship between academic procrastination, emotional burnout, and the level of involvement in student self-government. The main psychological factors of procrastination are highlighted, including lack of confidence in one's own abilities, fear of evaluation, low level of self-regulation, and dissatisfaction with basic psychological needs. The mechanisms of the impact of emotional exhaustion on learning motivation, cognitive productivity, and professional readiness of future doctors are revealed. Based on a generalization of current empirical studies, it is shown that procrastination and emotional burnout are interrelated processes that mutually reinforce each other. Particular attention is paid to the role of student self-government as a socio-psychological resource for the prevention of these phenomena: participation in self-government contributes to the development of autonomy, internal locus of control, emotional competence, and a sense of agency in the learning environment. The need to improve the conditions for the functioning of student councils, increase the level of student motivation to participate in public activities, and create a favorable psychological climate in higher medical education is noted. Key words: educational activity, adaptation, burnout, communication, procrastination, student self-government, stress resistance
