Abstract

The design of a track module for the wheeled tractors is presented. It is equipped with a mechanism for adjusting the track contact area. It is shown that the developed module allows for an on-demand increase in the track contact area, thereby reducing the specific ground pressure to 20-37 kPa, which is approximately 30% less than in the basic operating mode of a removable traction track module. This improves the tractor’s traction characteristics and stability on slopes, expanding its range of application.
