Abstract

Objective: Alteration of the mitral annulus (MA) following transcatheter edge-to-edge mitral valve repair (TEER) is associated with a reduction in mitral regurgitation (MR). However, the influence of the new device system (MitraClip G4; Abbott Vascular, Santa Clara, CA, USA), which has 4 device size options, on the MA geometry as compared to the conventional device (G2; Abbott Vascular) remains unknown. This study aimed to investigate the influence of different device generations on the MA geometry after TEER and their association with procedural success.
