HR ANALYTICS, EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT, AND ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE IN BALI HOSPITALITY
Abstract
This study aims to investigate the role of Human Resource (HR) Analytics in improving organizational performance in Bali’s hospitality industry, with employee engagement as a mediating variable. A quantitative explanatory design was applied at Puri Saron Hotel Group Bali, involving 180 employees selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a structured five-point Likert scale questionnaire over four months (May–August 2025) to reflect different operational periods. Analysis was conducted with PLS-SEM (SmartPLS 4) using convergent and discriminant validity tests, reliability measures, and bootstrapping with 5,000 resamples. The results demonstrate that the use of HR Analytics (UHRA) significantly enhances both employee engagement and organizational performance, while engagement itself contributes positively to performance. Mediation analysis further confirms that engagement partially transmits the effect of HR Analytics on performance, supporting the evidence-based management chain perspective. The findings suggest that integrating HR Analytics into hotel operations strengthens engagement, service quality, and efficiency, thereby contributing to competitive advantage. The study concludes with recommendations for hotel managers and tourism policymakers in Bali to adopt analytics-based approaches to workforce management and organizational development.
