Experimental Combined Irradiator

A modern poultry farm is a complex of premises isolated from the external environment, in which a controlled microclimate is created, ensuring, in part through rational electrical lighting, the good physiological condition of the birds and allowing for a significant increase in virtually all indicators of the productivity of the flock of birds, increasing survival rates and reducing feed costs. The combined irradiator prototype includes the following radiation sources: erythema lamp, like LE 15 type, germicidal lamp, like DB 15 type, quartz halogen lamp thermo-emitter KGT 220–500, LED block with variable emission spectrum. Measurements of the photometric characteristics of the light sources and LED module were conducted at the Lighting Metrology Shared Use Centre of the Electronics and Lighting Engineering Institute of N.P.
