Abstract

Human urine and manipueira are examples of effluents that have high concentrations of essential nutrients for plant development, therefore, they can be used in agriculture to improve soil fertilization, in addition, this use promotes an adequate final destination for these wastes. Thus, the objective of this research was to evaluate the production of chilli pepper grown in soil fertilized with human urine and manipueira treated in a protected environment. The experiment was carried out on Campus I of the Federal University of Campina Grande, Campina Grande - PB. A completely randomized design was used, consisting of 16 treatments, with combinations of human urine + manipueira (varying from 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% in relation to the amounts of N (for urine) and K (for manipueira) present in effluents, recommended by Novais et al., 1991), and three replications, totaling 48 experimental units. The growth variables were analyzed: Plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf area and root length. The results obtained were subjected to static analysis using the SISVAR 5.6 software and the means were compared using the Scott Knott test at 5% significance. Pepper plants subjected to 60% manipueira and 80% human urine (URIMA 1) had the highest averages for height and stem diameter in all growth phases; for the number of leaves, the highest averages were found when applying 100% manipueira and 100% urine (URIMA 10) up to 90 DAT, at 120 DAT it is recommended to apply a high concentration of K.
