HERMENUTIKA PADA MAJAS METAFORA DALAM PUISI BERTEMA ROMANSA KARYA CHAIRIL ANWAR

This study aims to interpret the meaning of the use of metaphor as a symbol of feelings contained in romantic poems by Chairil Anwar. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a hermeneutic approach. The data sources used are romantic poems from the poetry anthologies Deru Campur Debu (1949) and Yang Terampas dan Yang Putus (1949). The data obtained are in the form of lines and stanzas of poetry containing metaphors. The data collection technique is the reading and note-taking technique. The results of this study indicate that the metaphor contained in Chairil Anwar's romantic poems is a symbol of expressing feelings based on experiences in romantic stories, such as despair, praise, happiness, separation, and disappointment. The metaphors used are physical objects that can represent the poet's experiences and emotions. This is a reflective form that describes romantic things that have been felt and happened according to the theme he raised.
