Abstract

The present study aimed to compare the effects of Kali nitricum 6C, a homeopathic preparation, with NPK fertilizer on the germination and growth of coriander (Coriandrum sativum). Two groups of seeds were prepared, one treated with Kali nitricum 6C (Group 1) and the other with NPK fertilizer (Group 2). Germination was observed over 7 days, with Group 1 exhibiting earlier initiation of germination and comparatively faster root elongation during the early stages. Pot growth studies were conducted over 40 days, with daily measurements of plant height, number of leaves, and branching. Results indicated that Group 1 attained greater plant height, more leaves, and more branches, with reduced plant destruction compared to Group 2. At end of the harvest, plants weight was significantly higher in Group 1 (52 grams) compared to Group 2 (34 grams). The findings suggest that Kali nitricum 6C may positively influence coriander growth and yield compared to conventional NPK fertilizer. However, given agro homoeopathic study has the limited sample size and single-location setting, further large-scale and multi sectoral studies are warranted to validate these preliminary observations.
