A case report of hyperlipidemia treated with cholesterinum 6x
Abstract
Hyperlipidemia is a medical condition characterized by elevated levels of one or more plasma lipids, including triglycerides, cholesterol, cholesterol esters, phospholipids, and plasma lipoproteins such as Very Low-Density Lipoprotein (VLDL) and Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL), along with decreased levels of High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL). Elevated plasma lipid levels are considered one of the major risk factors for cardiovascular diseases. Currently, statins and fibrates are the primary antihyperlipidemic agents used to treat increased plasma cholesterol and triglyceride levels, respectively; however, their use is often associated with significant adverse effects on the muscles and liver. Case summary: This is a case of a 57-year-old male with hyperlipidemia. The case was reported from OPD-6 of Government Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Trivandrum, Kerala. The patient was treated with specific Homoeopathic medicine over a period of months. There was significant improvement with the homoeopathic treatment, with lowering levels of plasma lipids.
