Homoeopathic management of paediatric impetigo: A clinical study of two cases with materia medica correlation
Abstract
Impetigo is a highly contagious superficial bacterial infection commonly affecting children. It presents with vesicles, pustules and characteristic honey-coloured crusts. Though antibiotics remain the standard line of management, recurrence and antimicrobial resistance are increasing concerns. This article presents two clinically documented paediatric cases of impetigo managed successfully with individualized homoeopathic treatment. Remedy selection was based on totality of symptoms and classical materia medica correlation. Both cases showed progressive reduction in discharge, crusting and irritation, followed by complete restoration of healthy skin without complications.
