Dynamic resolution of chronic plantar wart with individualised homoeopathic treatment: A clinical case report
Abstract
Plantar warts are a frequent manifestation of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, often associated with pain, discomfort, and functional impairment in daily activities. Conventional management typically emphasizes local destruction or symptomatic relief; however, recurrence and persistence remain problematic. Homoeopathy, with its principle of individualized treatment, seeks to address the patient holistically rather than focusing solely on the lesion. The present case highlights the therapeutic potential of individualized homoeopathic medicine, specifically Thuja occidentalis, in the treatment of plantar warts. Remedy selection was guided by the Repertorial totality and administered in an appropriate potency and dosage. Clinical progress was monitored through regular follow-ups, demonstrating marked improvement in subjective symptoms and objective regression of the wart. During the observation period, no recurrence was noted, suggesting not only local resolution but also correction of the underlying susceptibility.
