Abstract

In the contemporary, changing international milieu, environmental protection remains a highly debated and comprehensive endeavour that primarily involves more action than discussion. This paper will showcase immediate actions to address climate change and how countries are taking proactive steps to stop it and promote environmental sustainability. It will also highlight India's leading role and its approach to tackling multiple environmental challenges, both domestically and internationally. Responsibility for the Global South has now become the top priority because it is the most vulnerable issue in the backyard of a changing geopolitical and environmental landscape. Notwithstanding, it can be said that amidst the power struggle among nation-states, efforts for climate protection and conservation remain untouched; this is why it is very realistic nowadays to think and rethink about environmental protection. This study will showcase the climatic problems in the global south and highlight the divergent remedies to address them, rather than the interlinked issues that have a spill-over effect and ultimately fuel global warming, migration, refugee crises, and even civil wars.
