The effect of recreational activities on the skill performance of selected fundamental football skills
Abstract
The innovative applicability of recreational activity in contributing to the development of football techniques among fifth grade primary school students underlines the importance of an environment that is relaxing and engaging as a pathway towards learning, different from customary training contexts. Incorporating recreational games within the instructional units increases pupils’ motivation to learn and decreases the rate of absentness (Jia, 2018). Previous research shows that recreational exercise contributes to the development of key football skills, such as rolling, passing, control and shooting. This is accomplished through the delivery of an activity-filled atmosphere that lightens pressure and advances collaboration among understudies. Further, this will also increase the kinetic coordination of the body and the speed and accuracy of executing skills. So that, engaging the 5th grade students through recreational activities as a learning approach not only improves their physical and technical skills but is also more fun and can give sense od belonging. In turn, this bodes well for their general football performance and sport development. The study was performed with an experimental group and a control group. The finding revealed the experimental group was performed better in learning process related to kinetic, it was proved that by conducting those recreation activity could increase pupils’ understanding in kinetic area.
