Effect of regular aerobic exercise on cardiovascular health of college-level women basketball players
Abstract
Cardiovascular health is a critical aspect of athletic performance, particularly in high-intensity sports like basketball. This study aims to investigate the effect of regular aerobic exercise on cardiovascular parameters among college-level women basketball players. A total of 30 players underwent a 12-week structured aerobic exercise program in addition to their regular basketball training. Pre- and post-intervention assessments included resting heart rate, blood pressure, VO₂ max, and recovery heart rate. Results indicated significant improvements in cardiovascular efficiency, suggesting that regular aerobic exercise enhances overall cardiovascular health and endurance in female basketball athletes.
