Abstract

The effect of Indium (In) additive on physical parameters of the Se98-xCd2Inx (0≤x≤10) chalcogenide glasses has been studied. In this study I have been calculated different physical parameters like number of constraints (NC), average coordination number, lone pair electrons (LP), density, molar volume, mean bond energy , parameter (R), and compactness (δ) by using different theoretical methods. Average coordination number, Nc, density (ρ), molar volume (Vm), and mean bond energy are presented increase with increasing indium content, whereas loan pair electrons, degree of freedom (f), and deviation of stoichiometry (R) decrease.
