Abstract

This study aims to analyze the technical performance of some basic offensive skills in wheelchair basketball, given the increasing importance of this sport at both the regional and international levels, and the reliance of its development in many countries on scientific research and analytical studies. The research's significance lies in diagnosing the players' technical performance level, as basic skills are the cornerstone of successful offensive and defensive performance and achieving positive results in matches. The research problem stemmed from a noticeable weakness in the technical performance of some basic skills among players in the "Ajyal of Al-Ghad" tournament held in Jordan, coupled with a high number of missed shots that the opposing team exploited to execute fast breaks, negatively affecting match results. The researcher adopted a descriptive analytical approach, analyzing the technical performance of some offensive skills of the teams participating in the tournament. The research results revealed a disparity in the level of proficiency in offensive skills among the teams, with some teams demonstrating a better ability to execute basic skills compared to others, which was reflected in the effectiveness of their offensive performance and match results. The researcher recommended focusing on developing basic offensive skills through scientific training programs and relying on continuous technical analysis to raise performance levels and achieve better results in future tournaments.
