Abstract

The present study aimed to investigate the wellness lifestyle of inter-college players from Jalandhar District of Punjab. A total of 100 inter-college athletes aged 18-25 years were selected using a random sampling technique. The wellness lifestyle of the participants was assessed using the standardized Wellness Lifestyle Questionnaire developed by W.K. Hoeger, covering nine dimensions of wellness. Descriptive statistics in the form of percentages were used for data analysis. The results revealed that 34.00% of players demonstrated an excellent level of wellness lifestyle, 31.00% showed a good level, while 35.00% required improvement. Although players exhibited satisfactory awareness in several wellness dimensions, deficiencies were observed in nutrition, stress management, disease prevention, and emotional well-being. The study concludes that systematic wellness education programs are required to improve lifestyle behaviors among inter-college players of Jalandhar District.
