Abstract
The study titled “A Study on Employee Onboarding Process” aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the onboarding process in improving employee engagement, retention, and productivity. It also focuses on identifying the challenges faced by new employees and collecting feedback from both employees and HR personnel regarding their onboarding experience. The findings reveal that most respondents felt welcomed into the organization, clearly understood their job roles, and were able to engage well with their teams. The onboarding process helped improve employee confidence, motivation, and initial productivity. However, some employees felt that the program lacked clarity on career growth opportunities and did not fully address their queries or concerns. Based on the results, the study suggests that organizations should include department-specific onboarding programs, mentorship or buddy systems, and more interactive training sessions to make the process effective and engaging. The use of digital onboarding tools and regular follow-up sessions is also recommended to ensure smooth employee adaptation. Overall, the study concludes that a well-structured onboarding process is vital for enhancing employee satisfaction, building confidence, and ensuring long-term retention, thereby contributing to the overall success of the organization.
